I am a web developer with a positive mindset that powers my productivity and personal growth. My background in music education taught me how to learn, practice, and teach. I get along well with others and become an integral member of the communities I immerse myself in.

My background in music education has helped me become the software developer I am today. I constantly reflect on my own learning and efficiency and I brainstorm other ways to go about practicing and absorbing the same concepts. When given the opportunity to teach others, I assess their learning style and experiment with different approaches, whether it is just teaching a Sublime shortcut or Ruby on Rails.

When coding I am often lightly bouncing and bobbing to the awesome music I am listening to. I am calm in the face of bugs and relatively unperturbed by roadblocks, and I enjoy working with others solve projects (and practice teaching and learning).

Feel free to contact me if you want to meet up to discuss code, music, education, meta-learning, or just to chat in general. You can reach me at mark.janzer@gmail.com
